julian rated this product on 06/30/08 I got a hybrid/iron set a few days ago, and have been out on the driving range twice. I bought the 3,4,5 hybrid, and 6-SW are conventional excel strong irons. The set is very nice and has good feel. Before it arrived I had been borrowing a set of Taylor-made hybrids and irons. The Pinemeadows don't have quite the pop of a Taylor-made rescue club, but they're reasonably close. At about one third the price, I'm very satisfied. If money were not an issue, I would prefer the Taylor-mades, but for the rest of us, Pinemeadows delivers a very good product.

Mike rated this product on 06/29/08 I bought a excel #6 hybrid to replace my 6 iron and loved how it preformed. Since then I have purchased a #5 and next week will purchase a #3 and #4. I'm very satisfied. They have replaced my long irons and I still have my 8 iron to my wedges for close approches.

Mike rated this product on 06/12/08 I got the Excel Strong Hybrids because I can't hit irons off the short fairway grass without taking some sort of divot. They've stopped the divots and I can hit them a little better than the irons. They just have a more comfortable feel during the swing, resulting in better shots (no divots). The down side - don't get in the rough that's much over an inch tall. As with woods the tall grass really impedes the momentum of the swing resulting in disappointing short shots (i guess if i was a better golfer i wouldn't be in the rough in the first place). Overall I'm really satisfied with these hybrids and I'll probably be using them as long as I golf.

Eric reviewed this product on 06/10/08 In reply to 'vincent on 05/29/08 I can honestly say that the majority of the clubs in my bag now or made by Pinemeadow Golf. The quality, the playabity, the price, and the customer service are second to none. Call the toll free number ask for Clark Vorm tell him the retired Marine from Washington sent you, and ask questions to your hearts content, he will answer each one, or find out the answer for you. I have dealt with this company for over two years now and they are first rate, in fact I am looking to purchase a set of hybreds and I have tested the very same set that your looking at for $800.00 and I like Pinemeadows clubs better. Steve rated this product on 05/29/08 I have had the excel hybrid for about a month. I have always been a good player with woods, putter, and approach wedge but my iron play was awful. I have had Pings and TaylorMade. No matter the lessons I could hit perfect draws with my woods and nothing with my irons which killed my ability to score. Now I am hitting the hybrids the distance you should hit irons and rather then coming in hot with a 5 or 7 wood I have a discipline to my approach. Little by little my scores are getting better. The biggest thing was getting over the idea of using hybrids. But as the captain said look at what the pro's are using. Yesterday was the first day I had really set out to use the hybrid in place of woods. I finished the front nine bogey, birdie, par, par. Including the 3 (birdie) and 5th top handicap holes. It was because I could stick the approach on the pin. I did better on the back. The clubs have not haf a great deal of use as we have had a longer winter and the season started late, so I cannot comment on the wear and tear issue. So far they seem to hold up. I am thinking about getting my wife the women's set. Funny enough I take some pride in 1. being smart enough to use the club that is right for me rather than feeling I had to use traditional irons & 2. the fact that I paid for a whole set what I would have paid for one club. Good advice from your on-line staff, good product, good value. Thanks. Of course if I go back to my bad habits and increase my handicap its all your fault, it couldn't be the disconnect between brain and swing. Good products thanks.
