Description

Like the Power Play System Q Driver the System Q Irons opens the door to technology that, until now, has been unavailable in the US. The design compares features and performance to the Taylor Made(R) RAC CGB utility iron set only sold in Japan.

These irons feature an unconventional head shape very similar to design you would find in a hybrid club. The low profile club head distributes the weight of the club to the bottom. When you strike a golf ball contact is made at the sole of the club. The idea is to move all of the weight to where the ball hits at impact, thereby creating a bigger sweet spot and forgiving club.

As you can see, the shape of this iron is unlike any other iron we carry. A typical iron has relatively tall face, thus raising the center of gravity. The System Q irons featured a shallower and longer lower profile face and deep low back weighting to reduce the center of gravity. The features result in higher launch angles, more consistent striking of the sweet spot and greater forgiveness.

If you are considering the Power Play System Q Irons the Power Play System Q Titanium Driver and Power Play System Q Fairway Woods are a perfect complement.

Vince reviewed this product on 04/04/06 I didn't know what to think and I admittedly was skeptical of the reviews...but count me as a believer now. I am absolutely pleased with my purchase and the performance of the System Q irons...I did indeed hit them longer and straighter and I just love the way they look. Thanks Pinemeadows, I'll be back and I will and have told my friends.

Russ reviewed this product on 03/13/06 I received my Power Play System Q irons about 10 days ago, 10 days after ordering them online. I can't say enough about the quality of the purchase, from the clubs themselves down to the way they were packed and shipped. Everything was first-rate. The clubs are beautiful (I have no problem with the branding. I actually think it looks cool), sturdy, and terrifically crafted. And they've performed better than I'd even hoped. They are easily the most forgiving, longest and straightest irons I've hit, and each club launches the ball with a higher trajectory than I'd been led to expect. In fact, higher than my old Taylormade RACs, with great spin and touch. I still can't get over the fantastic quality at such a low price. Next buy - a driver. You have a customer for life.

David reviewed this product on 01/28/06 I stumbled upon Pinemeadow.com. I was impressed by the strong customer service emphasis and excellent product reviews. At $150, I thought I would give their System Q irons a try. I've played 7 rounds with my new Q irons, and--honestly--am hitting my irons 10-15 yards farther per club. It's very gratifying to pull 8 iron at 150-160 yds, where I once pulled 7! I love the way the clubs look at address. I like the aesthetics of the low profile. As with any wide sole irons, the irons have a thick top-line--this might take some getting used to if you are accustomed to blades. One (very) minor complaint. I'm looking forward to the day when companies like Pinemeadow realize that when it comes to head design "less is more". I could do without the "System Q" on the sole, and "power play" on the hosel. In sum: I've been very happy with my pinemeadow purchase. I highly recommend their products to others.
