You're right...I purchased my Bloc online through Pinemeadow, and compared it with a friend who purchased a $40 bloc from some retail store brand new. We compared the two drivers and noticed that my Bloc can go about 30 yards further than his Bloc. I noticed that the Bloc from Pinemeadow has a smooth top surface while the Bloc from the retail store has a grove on the top which is very similar to the FTI. My friend was upset to find out that the quality and performance of his $40 BLOC wasn't up to par as mine. Well....better him than me!

One that is $40 which is sold in retail stores, and one that is sold here at Pinemeadow. Seems like the one ordered online is a better quality club due to the fact of the quality of the material.
Mike S rated this product on 12/18/07 I bought the 10 degree version with a regular shaft about 4 months ago and I am delighted with the club. It works very well for me and I get lots of questions on the course about it - not least because of the sound - in fact I have wondered what decibel level it hits... In sum, a great club that is exactly as it claims.
Wayne rated this product on 12/17/07 This club is amazing. Just got back from the driving range where I consistently hit drive after drive straight, high and long. It is hard to miss. Even when you hit it off center it still goes straight. If you want a hot and forgiving driver, don't waste your money on the brand names. You can't go wrong with the Bloc. Bought mine at Academy for $35 including the head cover. Best golfing investment I will ever make.
Jack reviewed this product on 12/15/07 First off, I'm a 6 year player aged 60, high handicap and yet love the game still. Never could hit a driver,( big time slice) and only use the 3 or 5 wood. Bought the Bloc 455, 10 degree and tried it only once on the range but just couldn't hit at all. I guess the extra loud ping bothered me most of all. Anyway, it's now winter time here in the NE, and so the bag it put away until spring time. However, I tried a experment in my garage last week, with the hope to deaden the loud ping sound. On the club bottom, I drilled a 1/4" hole and filled the cavity with foam spray insulation, (the same stuff you use to seal cold air leaks in your attic or other areas of your home). Caution: be carefull, for the foam will continue to expand for aprox., a half hour,creating a sticky mess if you over fill. Come spring time, I'll give it another try but I'm sure that anoying loud ping will now be much less than before, and then maybe I'll be able to hit without thinking about the aluminium baseball bat loud ping.
