After coming across this site I decided that at this price level it was worth giving it a try, so I ordered a set of Acer XP Step Cavity Irons set up to fit me with Winn grips. Being totally new to the game I couldn't tell you if they perform well or not, but, my brother happens to play a set of Callaway X-16's and he went to the range with me today to hit my new clubs. He was sickened! They played so similiarly to his clubs he was shocked, and he actually hit the 7 iron longer than he ever has hit his. He stated repeatedly that if he had known about these he could, and would, have saved a small fortune and gotten the same performance. Thanks PineMeadow. Now could you sell me some skills?

G Kruijt reviewed this product on 06/30/03 I've now been playing several rounds with these new XP's and all I can say: these are terrific clubs. Very good feeling, perfectly straight and often 2 clubs longer than before. Still have to adjust to the extra lenght that I hit, more than once over the green. My golf buddies (good handicappers) were impressed by the length that I hit with these clubs. Yet, also my short game is improving a lot. These clubs do a good "feeling" job, also from rough lies. Absolutely recommended (I wish my woods were this constant, that would knock a lot of strokes from my handicap).

Rick reviewed this product on 06/22/03 Just finished my second round with the Acer XP irons. I am hitting them 2 clubs longer than my older Cleveland VAS irons. They are so much easier to it and way more straight. Anyone who says clubs don't make a difference is crazy. I highly recommend these irons. I know I will be knocking a minimum of 7 strokes off my game once I get used to the distance and don't keep hitting them way over the flags.

Sean In Arizona reviewed this product on 06/22/03 I recently purchased the Acer XP Step Cavity Irons. I added a 2-iron for grins. These irons go considerably farther then any other set I use. I played two rounds and cut my personal best score from 148 to 120. Thanks Pinemeadow. I look forward to future purchases of your find golfing offerings.

G Kruijt (NL) reviewed this product on 06/20/03 Just received the clubs today, went to the drivingrange and start hitting balls. The clubs feel a lot more heavy than my previous ones (now steel shaft instead of graphite & titanium heads). But beware, adjust swingtempo (more ease) and the balls start flying - impressively. (Almost all of them) perfectly straight and much further than before. (PW as 9, 7 as prev. 5). These clubs feel very good, also on the short work, Lamkin CC grips are great. Can recommend them as great for now, though I still have to walk some rounds to see the results back in my handicap. I can't wait.
