Marlowe Guy rated this product on 04/11/08 I simply couldn't be happier!!! This was my first Pinemeadow purchase, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the quality of the Excel Strongs. I just got back from the driving range, and I feel like a new golfer. At first I was expecting the clubs to do all the work, and my swing mechanics were terrible. After the frustration of 10 or 15 horrible shots I got it together. And once I did it was smooth sailing! You always read reviews with people saying they hit their new irons 10 yards longer, but in my case it was at least that. The only club I wasn't perfectly happy with was my 3i, but I did hit it better than I've ever hit any other 3i I've owned. My last shot of my second bucket was a 5i that carried 200 yards and went dead straight. I hit my old 5i 180-190 with roll. Also, my slice was practically gone (although I did spray a few), and I was hitting a draw without much effort. All in all I would definitely recommend Pinemeadow (especially these irons). I did about 3 months of research into clones and brand names, and all the good things I read about PM were true. The quality of these irons is top notch. If you're looking to upgrade your clubs I implore you too go with PM. These ions are my only purchase from this company, but it's been by far my best golf purchase EVER. Instead of paying $700 for new x-20's or $399 for pre-owned (and they looked thoroughly used), I payed a total of $161 for the best clubs I've ever played. I'll be playing a course called Renditions in Maryland next week. It's a challenging course with replica holes from clubs that have hosted majors, including all three holes that make up Amen Corner at Augusta. I'm looking forward to hitting my new 8i at the replica of the island green at Sawgrass. I know this is a long review, but I just wanted to be as helpful as possible in helping someone to make a great value purchase instead of overpaying for one of the big brands. Spend your money if you want, but if you're here on this sight I'd assume you appreciate the value of a great deal. I'd also like to thank PM for making such a high quality product at a much more than reasonable price.

Josh Dale rated this product on 04/06/08 i think im in love...just received the set of strongs with lamkim grips, graphite shafts...quality clubs...took them to the range about 30 minutes ago...every shot was solid, pure...any other positive adjective that could describe a golf shot (inserted it here)...these clubs feel great...my previous set God rest their souls...were to say the least out dated...wilson tom kite signature (hit a 8 iron 100 yards, 3 iron 170, same club in strong excel, 8 iron 130, 3 iron 190 easy, wind in my face)...amazing...recommend to anyone upgrading their old set of irons...very pleased and cant wait for my first round...looking to take a good 3-5 shots off...thanks pinemeadow

Fred Romero rated this product on 03/19/08 I just received a set of your Strong Irons today, with standard steel shafts and Lamkim Jumbo grips. The appearance and quality of these clubs are well worth the price compared to my old set of clones, but looks aren't everything. Before the sun set here in Ventura county CA, I went to my club with a pitching wedge and an 8 iron for a dry run on the driving range before my tennis match. I only had 30 minutes to work my way through a bucket of balls, but after getting used to the new grip and weight, I was hitting the ball cleaner and truer than with my old set. If I had to make a comparison it would be like going from a Ford Pinto to a Lexus, really. And if that comparison doesn't float your boat, how about going from a Cessna 150 to a 210? I love the heft of the head and the feel of the club in my hands as it makes contact with the ball but, alas, it was only the driving range. Tomorrow I will spend an afternoon clipping balls off the mat, and the next day I'll try them out on a full 18-hole course. Stay tuned!

Have played with these clubs since late October '07 and can confirm that they are a very good set of irons and really well built. I am very pleased with how I am striking the ball with these clubs and am consistently scoring better on the course over the past number of weeks.

Dario rated this product on 12/16/07 I have used these clubs for 3 rounds now and have not really seen any difference in my score. I was impressed by the looks and similarities of the irons compared to the X-20's, but dissapointed with the feel of the clubs as they dont feel as nice as i expected, but hopefully after a few more practice rounds they will start to feel better. Thanks Pinemeadow for an affordable and great choice of glf equipment!
