Description
The Oxygen Type-R iron is what you would call a game improvement blade style club. Designed for a more experienced player, the Oxygen Type-R Iron features a thin top line and blade profile for maximum workability that you are looking for in each and every iron. The black insert you see in the back of the club head is a polymer filled muscle back cavity which increases the perimeter weighting throughout the entire club face for improved forgiveness and feel.
The main difference between the two Oxygen models we offer (type R and S) is that the type R model is suited for a mid to low handicap player. Reason being is because the club is more like a blade type iron with smaller club face and the reduced offset makes it tougher for a new golfer to hit. If you are considered to be new to the game or with a higher handicap the Oxygen Type S Irons would probably be a better fit for you.
If you are considering the Oxygen Type R Irons, the Oxygen RST 9000 Titanium Driver and Command Hybrids are a perfect complement.

Kip Shipley reviewed this product on 04/12/06 Got these a couple weeks ago and could not wait to try them out. Only played 7 holes the first time with them because a bad storm came in but the seven holes I played, I loved the results. I've read some reviews saying that the long irons might need replaced with a hybrid, but this was not the case for me. Pulled out the three iron to lay up on a par 5 over a pond and smashed it about 250 yrds right up the middle. The next time I played the hole I had the same result only a little longer with a better lie. Needless to say I have found my go to club on this tee. Still trying to home in the short irons but very optimistic about the possible results. I haven't had much of a chance to hit the mid irons yet and thats one part of my game I have never quite got in tune. The feel of these irons are infinitly better than my old slingshot clones and I look forward to using them for quite some time. Thanks Pinemeadow for an excellent set of irons that the non-pro can afford.

Bobby McIntosh reviewed this product on 04/02/06 A friend of mine purchased these clubs and I have had the chance to golf a few rounds with these clubs. Honestly I like these clubs more then my Cleveland irons, the are more forgiving and a bigger sweet spot on the club face. Im eager to purchase these clubs myself. Either way well worth product.
