James rated this product on 02/19/09 To David, a reviewer on 3/13/08 - the reason you got a "dent" on the bottom of your club has nothing to do with poor quality of the driver. It has to do with your poor golfing skills. The only way to dent the bottom of a driver while hitting balls at the range is if you actually hit a ball with the bottom of the club, rather than on the club face. This is actually something quite common with new or high-handicap golfers, and it is a result of swinging the golf club like a baseball bat and not turning your hands over the top as you come through impact zone to square the club face up to the ball. I am willing to bet you slice the ball a lot, am I right? I own a golf shop myself, and every now & then I have someone come in with a driver that they just bought a few days ago to complain about a dent in the bottom of the club, because they think it must be some sort of defect. And these are high-end name brand drivers I'm talking about. So what I do is I take them over to our hitting net and I show them a bag full of old demo clubs which have dents all over the bottom (from poorly skilled amateur golfers hitting them all day long), and I explain how this can happen if you swing the club incorrectly, and I give them a few free pointers on how to avoid denting their driver in the future. And most customers are usually understanding after realizing it was their own fault, although there are still those stubborn ones who refuse to believe that they could have hit the ball on the bottom of the club. The reality is this - complaining about a dent on the bottom of a driver from a mis-hit ball is like taking your car back to the dealership the day after you bought it to complain about a dent that is in your door from where you opened it into a light post and trying to blame it on the dealership. It frustrates the heck out of me when someone complains to me about this and refuses to accept that it is their own fault, which is something our friend David needs to come to terms with. I'm sure there is nothing at all wrong with the quality of this driver.
E Rock rated this product on 11/11/08 After breaking my old trusty Cleveland 320cc I finally gave in and bought one of these big headed wonders. Customer service people were great and recomended the ZR1. The head is so big compared to my old one that at first I instinctively kept pushing the club, but as I started slowing down and getting back to good swing basics my swing came back and WOW, this is a great club. Very forgiving and I would say has added about 20 to 30 yards to my drives and best of all more consistentsy. Plus, it just looks cool! Great driver, great company!
Eric rated this product on 10/30/08 I am just learning. I had a old much smaller driver that was anything but forgiving. This new driver works great. I have straighter drives. I used a full set of expensive Taylor Made burners and saw no difference. I actually did better with the pine meadown clubs. (could just be coincidence because im awful at golf) I have taken about 15-20 strokes off my game in about 4 outings. I got the complete Zr1 set
Bill N. reviewed this product on 10/13/08 I am 58 and new to golf. The used clubs I started with are about ten years old and the diver was not working for me. During my last lesson the Pro brought out six driver demos. for me to try. The driver that I hit very well was the Ping G10. Your ZR 1 driver is every bit as good as the G10, I'm very happy. My swing speed is about 85 mph and I'm hitting around to 200 yrds. I'll most likely be purchasing a set of hybrids from Pinemeadow as well. Thanks
Wilbert rated this product on 08/21/08 The club arrived last Thursday. I have had the opportunity to play with it and I want to tell you that you couldn't get it away from me if you tried. Before I ordered it, I was able to try different clubs out for a round at my local course. I settled on the Ping G 10(R) for its distance and control. I will tell you that I was skeptical of ordering a clone after using the "REAL THING" for several weeks. When your ZR1 arrived, it felt just like the Ping G 10(R). After playing the ZR1, I am convinced the difference may only be cosmetic. I hit your club as lone and as straight as I ever hit the Ping G 10(R). Thanks for the 2/3rds savings. I am now considering getting the rest of the ZR1 Set. Need a few more bucks first. Any deals on the set now that you can't get the driver away from me? Thanks again and keep up the good high quality work.
