Mike_D rated this product on 09/12/07 I like the "bloc" driver, I have tried the "cube" and found it felt somewhat dead and tended to twist even with its stiff shaft resulting in fades. I have adopted the Hogan Grip and find I have to grip a bit tighter since it feels like whacking a rock with a broomstick sometimes-- I like to hit it hard. I actually broke a couple solid balls into several fragments and knocked the cover off another one using the practice net. Distance is a little better than my Ping Zing 2 iron, but I have only made it to the range once due to rain.
Mikeylikesit rated this product on 09/11/07 I bought the square driver with the regular shaft. My swing speed on a driver is around 85 mph so I'm right in between a regular and a stiff. I'm going over to a stiff shaft now because my drives were all over the place (to both sides of the fairway). The driver is good, but it was hard to tell without the proper shaft.
Stuart Hendry rated this product on 09/10/07 Got my Bloc about 2 weeks ago and im loving every minute of it.I never have been great with a driver but this baby has given me my confidence back on the tee.I have the stiff shaft and grip upgrade and its a fantastic club.It does sound different to other drivers but that doesn't bother me as my ball is landing 250+ yards down the fairway. For $99 dollars how can you go wrong?
Greg in MN rated this product on 09/07/07 I bought this club when it was on sale never having swung this type of driver. I normally hit the drive reasonably far (in the 260 to 280) range and this club gave me another 20 yards. It sounds like an aluminum baseball bat but it sure is a nice driver. One of my golfing buddies said it looks like a toaster on a stick. I ordered the stiff shaft and am not sorry about that. If you want a little extra in the length department and can handle the "comments" you will hear about it s looks and sounds, this could very well be the club for you.
Bob in Colorado rated this product on 08/29/07 Color me skeptical but I bought a refurb'd BLOC 455 to see if I liked a stiff shaft/square driver.....Several 300 yard drives later, I'm really impressed. OK, I play at altitude and am a 8.8 HC, but after only 2 sessions on the range and a short time to acclimate to the "ping," I'm one happy camper. Already sold another club to the first golf buddy I played with. For the price of a dozen and a half Pro V's, how can you go wrong. Next experiment, the 3 & 4 hybrids...will report back, out!
