Scott K. reviewed this product on 09/10/18 Just an update, because I feel like this is worth sharing. While I am certainly hitting the 3 Wood better than what I used before, I have come to rely upon the 7 Wood as a long range rescue club. I am able to apply enough power with my wrists with the help of the extra weight (compared to my hybrids) to cut right through any grass and send the ball flying out of the deep rough like a rocket with a carry distance of 170-180 yards and it seems to always hit the ball straight. It has quickly become my favorite club in my bag. I may have to try the 9 wood next!

Scott K. rated this product on 08/01/18 I liked the 7 Wood and Offset Driver so much that I decided to add another PGX club to my bag, the Offset 3 Wood (16°). My review is much the same as for the 7, the only reason I gave four stars this time is because I feel they both deserve a 4.5 and this will average them out, I believe. The offset seems to make the club feel and play much more similarly to Irons and Wedges, allowing me to make less drastic adjustments to the alignment and angle of my swingplane. Another straight shooter, both the 3 and 7 seem to prevent a great deal of unwanted lateral spin with the only (obvious) drawback being the risk of striking the ball near the hosel where it will be sent darting off like a horrendous slice, but I've only done that one time. I am finally able to get my shots up in the air, where they belong, and I don't have to worry much about digging into the turf and hurting my very injury prone lower back. Another fine, undauntingly priced product from these guys. I am likely going to pick up a 5 Wood before the season's end and complete my set of PGX Woods D,3W,5W,7W (4-PW,SW,LW,P).

Scott K. rated this product on 07/10/18 This rating is based on my experience so far with the 7 Wood (24°), which I ordered because I wanted to try the offset feature and add a 7W to my bag, assuming that it would suffice for the season at least, even if I were to find the offset feature not to my liking. After hearing and reading mixed reviews of the company, I noticed a trend of reasonable people with realistic expectations being pleasantly surprised whereas a good portion of the negative feedback came from people basing their rating off of their ability to use the club or with expectations that the offset would make up for a lack of fundamentals or practice. I am of the former group, I think, and am impressed by the quality of craftsmanship as well as the performance. This is certainly more than adequate equipment for the casual golfer. I felt I should add that I chose the offset not to correct any issue with slicing, but rather because my eyes and brain seem to work together better if the club face is more aligned with the shaft. So far I am really liking it!
