Bob reviewed this product on 03/21/10 It is illegal because it can be used either right or left handed giving an edge when say you are next to a tree. It would improve your lie by allowing you to use it left handed , if you play right handed and vice virsa.

Wayne W W reviewed this product on 08/26/09 i like this chipper around the green, when i'm within up to 5 feet of being on the green, i use it as if it were a putter, it hops over the rough, and rolls up nicely. where a normal chipper you gotta get UNDER it, or you chop it, and start playing PONG on the green, or from rough to rough as the case usually is. possible to make it legal by building up a hybrid style "bubble" on one side of the club to "remove" the "usable face" on the back side? Wish they would just make a one-sided version of this club. might have to do that myself in the garage. though choking up on a 1 to 3 iron has a simolar effect, though those clubs are a little too long, not the same feel.

Mick Cater rated this product on 08/10/09 Sadly, Ray Edwards is correct when he observes that this club is not legal. Appendix II - 4d of the Rules of Golf states "The clubhead must have only one striking face, except that a putter may have two such faces if their characteristics are the same, and they are opposite each other." But this club is not a putter because Appendix II - 1a states "A putter is a club with a loft not exceeding ten degrees designed primarily for use on the putting green." A shame really, it would be most useful...
Preston Hale responds with Thanks for the post. Very informative for our customers. We have a legal Pinemeadow Hybrid Wedge for those that want the same club that is legal under the rules of golf.

Ray Edwards rated this product on 08/06/09 If this club is illegal, why do they make and sell them ? I own one and used it a lot till I was told it would cost me two strokes for using it. What gives, you can only use one face at a time, so whats with the stupid rule.

Matt rated this product on 06/23/09 Off the chain. Chutters knocked at least 7 strokes off the top of my score and this boy is tight enough to keep in the bag. They need to make a chipper/putter though so I don't have to carry two clubs around.
