Zach Watkins rated this product on 03/27/11 Have played these irons a couple times now, and twice in competition, all i can say is that these irons are the best i have ever played, gained about 7 -10, depending on if i keep my swing on plane, i am able to go after the pin now no matter what the placement due to the accuracy of the clubs, i now am going to buy the wedge sets so my all around game it complete

Richard Brown rated this product on 03/05/11 These clubs are a great buy. I have taken them to the driving range a couple times. They are a bit heavier than my old clubs. Can wait for good weather to give them a try on the course.

Mike Collins rated this product on 09/15/10 I've played one round with the clubs and hit them on the range several times. I tend to draw the ball; sometimes hook (of course). I'm not an engineer or anything like that, but I think the extra weight on the toe of the club is causing the face to close more than I'm used to. In other words, I'm hitting big draws and hooks and no fades. What does this mean? I guess I'll try out the PM Playability Guarantee unless my friend likes them (I gave them to him to try). Having said that, the PM service has been great and if you're among the majority of golfers who fade or slice the ball, give these irons a try!

Mike Collins rated this product on 09/11/10 I hit the ZR1 MK2's on the range. For the price, these clubs cannot be beat. They are more forgiving then my other sets (X-12s, RACs, and my friend's Zing 2s). The Apollo X-Stiff shaft is not the best feeling in the world...but I did order them and they are less expensive than True Temper shafts. I hit these the normal distance that I do with my other clubs. I received a follow-up email from PM to verify I received delivery. Again, the PM customer service is incredible. I'm thinking about trying a set with the X-Stiff graphite shafts...BUT the next step is to actually play with them, which I will do tomorrow. So for now, I would say that if you're looking for a good set of irons, save yourself hundreds of dollars and get these for $150!!!

Mike Collins rated this product on 09/08/10 I just received my ZR1 MK2 Irons today. I ordered them 1 degree upright with Apollo X-Stiff shafts. They came with the requested lie adjustment and were packaged nicely. Some of the "decals" in the cavity were not completely "stuck" to the surface (they were peeling up) which is not a huge problem unless they keep coming unstuck. Also, a couple of the irons lacked a good cleaning prior to shipment (there was adhesive residue on the shaft from grip installations. The ferrules could also be polished a bit more. I have a hitting net and have thus far tried them in my net. They have a nice solid feel similar to the Ping G15 and the Cobra S2 irons. I need to obviously hit these on the range and course next, but overall I'm impressed with Pinemeadow so far, mainly because of the great communication regarding the building and shipping of the clubs, albeit mostly automatically generated. I will follow-up when I observe the ball flight and accuracy. I currently hold a 10 handicap and play Callaway X-12 irons.
