Pete Chiasson rated this product on 02/03/12 I am retired, over 65, play golf 3 times per week and have a 12 handicap index. I have played with most brand name clubs including Ping, Calloway, Titleist, and many others. I recently bought a full set of the ZR1-Mark II's and I just love these irons. They play long and straight and can be worked right or left and high or low but require some effort to get them to work the ball. On the other hand, there is not much wrong with long, straight and very forgiving. Using the Mark 11s, I most recently shot a nice 80 and a really nice 78...both better than my handicap. I prefer these irons to the Ping originals since they have a softer feel...maybe due to the use of 17-4 stainless in the Pings and a softer 431 stainless in the Mark IIs. And the Pings cost about $700 vs. the $150 I paid for the ZR1s. And there is no comparison with the customer service operations at Pinemeadows vs. anyone else in the business. Pinemeadows really has outstanding customer service people who know how to provide customer satisfaction. As a customer you are in good hands with Pinemeadows all the way from the initial ordering cycle through delivery and followup. Pinemeadows, you guys (and gals) are the best in the business...bar none. Thanks for your excellent products and your excellent service. Pete Chiasson
John Lundin rated this product on 01/01/12 My rating is not on how well the irons perform, but how they compare to my Pinemeadow Command Q irons that I have been playing for many years. The ZR1's feel heavier and do not carry the ball as high as my Command Q's. I simply have more control with my old irons. I have been out several times with irons from both sets and I have to honestly say that the Command Q irons are a much better tool for striking and controlling a golf ball.
Jonathan rated this product on 12/05/11 Bought my set over the Thanksgiving Holiday and was very excited after talking to the guys at Pinemeadow the following Monday. After calling to upgrade my grips, i asked them if they could adjust the lie for me.Not a problem for them and i was so excited i went ahead and had them sent priority mail so i could play them over the weekend. Upgraded the grips and had the graphite shafts installed. They arrived from the state of Oregon to Alabama in time for a practice at the range on Thursday and a round on Friday and Saturday. Previously i played the Ping Zing 2 irons and after getting better i upgraded to Ping S57 irons. After needing some more forgiveness i decided to change and a Ping G15 clone just made sense. After saving $450.00 on these clubs over the G15 set i went out on Saturday and shot my best game ever. This is no B.S. They did not pay me to write this but i am just excited to tell people. After shooting a 76 and leaving three birdie putts short you can bet that i am pleased. Just having them a few days i have no ideal how they will hold up but at this cost i could upgrade to a newer set every year. Thanks for the great service and quality product. They look and play just like the G15. Now if i could just get my friends to buy some of these i would have some better competition.Again 100% true and if these give me any trouble holding up after a season on the course i will be the first to let you know. Thanks,Jonathan
Marc rated this product on 11/12/11 Recieved these last monday and just now able to go out and play. Two range sessions and 27 holes later I can say Pinemeadow rules! You wont be getting these babies back! These knocked ping eye 2 irons out of my bag. They are straighter, higher, and a little longer to boot. Still getting used to distances but really enjoy these clubs! I have hit Ping G20 at demo day and they have nothing on these irons, so glad I ordered these and saved 500!
Jason B. rated this product on 10/22/11 I received my clubs a couple of months ago and I've played more than a dozen games with them. My previous irons had graphite...this set I went with steel. I've dropped 8 on my handicap and I had my best game last week...86! I had to adjust at least one club since I was hitting the ball longer using these irons. They are excellent! I received a number of emails from the company when they were being produced, emails when they were shipped and emails to see how I liked the clubs. I've used the Ping irons and I prefer these. You can spend more, but why?...for the brand name. I will buy my next set from Pinemeadow.
