Israel Pena reviewed this product on 02/04/04 Two questions. 1. How do these irons differ from the Acer XDS Step Cavity Irons? 2. What is the quality of the Pinemeadow standard steel shaft? Can anyone offer any feedback on the quality and durability of the Standard shaft? I want to upgrade, and I want to make sure my clubs last.
Preston Hale responds with Israel, We hope to launch our golf forum very soon; we hope you will join us there. Questions like these can be better answered by our customers who have valuable hands on experience. Are you referring to the XDS Wide Sole irons? The two are really completely different. The XP is the more traditional iron, whereas, the Wide Sole has a 50% wider sole. The wider sole of the club helps create a bottom heavy iron, so for golfers who have some trouble getting under the ball correctly, the Wide Sole really helps. But, if this does not describe you, it may be best to stay with the XP. Our shaft is of no less quality than the upgrades we offer. They have different flex aspects and the profile is a bit thinner, but there has never been a quality issue. Hope this helps, please feel free to email one of our CSR's if you have any other questions. Thank you, Pinemeadow Golf Products

Marc reviewed this product on 01/21/04 Okay, i finally got out to the course with these irons. Being that i just use the driving range to groove my swing, i don't pay much attention to the flight of the ball. On the course it is different, i aim and shoot. these clubs stood up for nine holes in superb fashion. i just need to get the distance correct because i am hitting each iron further then i hit my last set. i scored an easy 48 on a par 36. this score could have easy been 40 as i recall a few times i over shot the green because of my distance adjustment and my trust that it actually flies that far! these clubs are just outstanding, thanks pinemeadow, i will be ordering a driver and three wood soon.

Gustavo Eguez reviewed this product on 01/12/04 Now let me tell you about the clubs, the are fantastic, I'm a high handicap golfer, who wanted to improved my golf, I used to have a Reflex Wilson set of clubs that I've been used since my first hit of the ball(5 months ago), when I hit the ball with the Acer XP Driver, WOWWWW, the ball goes straight in the air for 220 yds., and the irons hit as well. I'm very please with the outstandig set of clubs I bought from you. Thanks Pinemeadow for taking these clubs to ordinary people like me.

Preston Hale responds with Glad to hear you are so satisfied with our product, but Pinemeadow Golf is located on the West Coast and employs many Pac-10 grads, and we all know USC really is the #1 team in the nation. There's not another conference as tough as the Pac-10 we don't care what the BCS says. (These comments are not necessarily the opinion on PGP, and other disclaimer stuff...no, USC is #1.)
