I play from the rough sometimes and with the hybrid irons it fights through the grass and i always get a true shot. This is the best purchase i have made, yet! I'm in my 50s, have played golf for about 7 years (avid tennis player), and usually only play in the summers because I'm a teacher. I shoot in the 90s, and it's been this way for about 5 years. My irons have always kept me from progressing to a higher level. My driver and short game are decent enough. When my brother told me to get hybrids and throw away my irons, I finally listened. I checked out Pinemeadow first, and lo and behold, they had these clubs for $229. I bought them, and in two weeks (4 times out), I'm flabbergasted at how well my game has improved. I shot an 87 yesterday, but more importantly, I now have confidence in my clubs. I'm not sure what they did to make these player-friendly, but they are, especially for guys who don't like to take big divots with their irons (like me). And now I see there is a $50 sale on these clubs! I was two weeks to early I guess. One final caveat - these clubs won't cover bad form; you still have to know how to do the basic things required in a golf swing, but they sure will maximize your chances for solid contact at impact. From everything Ive read, I really hope that these will help me with my problem of opening the club face when striking. Constantly hitting to the right is definitely frustrating. Just wish I had waited a few more days, gah.

Chris rated this product on 06/02/11 These clubs are excellent. I don't play as much as I used to and I was looking for a forgiving set of clubs. This set is just that - very forgiving. I am also used to steel shafts with the irons but the graphite shafts made the clubs so light that I could swing easy and focus on tempo and ball striking. I look forward to getting the Tour Leader 1&2 irons like a previous reviewer and use an all-iron set with no woods. One last thing: I got these for $90 on the 50% off pre-owned sale. I almost feel like I stole them LOL.

Steve rated this product on 06/02/11 I was looking for a set of clubs that would be easy on my back. I had considered these before, and when they went on a 50% off sale on the Pre-owned section, I jumped at them. I had them almost 5 weeks before hitting a ball with them due to a back injury. When I finally got to play a round with them, they worked as promised. They swing easy, look great, and put the ball right where it was supposed to be when I made good contact. Because of my back I topped several shots but knew it even before I looked up to check the shot (operator error). I was only using arms with very little body rotation. With these I can only expect go be much better when my I can go back to a decent swing. I have bought from Pinemeadow before and will again. Customer Service is top notch!
