Chaan126 rated this product on 08/12/13 So I have been sizing Adams golf Hybrids for the last 2 months and have gone through the V3, V4, a120s and their other hybrids in great detail. I was on the verge of purchasing a V4 set when a cursory glance at the Pinemeadow site revealed an a70s like set for $229. Those happened to be the best of the Hybrids I hit at fitting but Adams will not sell me a set of those anymore, so I thought, what the heck it's $229 clams, what could go wrong? Well, first time out at the range I had a new experience. Normally on or two clubs in the set will give me grief, and I was expecting the 5 and 8 iron to do that for me. Not so, I had three adjustments on the 3 iron and the others went as smooth as silk. Sunday I was off to Dublin Ranch and right out the gate after a 20 minute warm up I was hitting green after green. My normally stellar wedge game with my Mizuno MP 64 and 60 were letting me down, my putting and irons were awesome! I banged an 87 with these and can see some great things coming my way with these babies!! I am only just getting started!! They even look freaking - awesome!! Now we iz talking hustle baby!! $10 a hole anyone? I did throw the grips they come with away only because my grip is the Winn Dritac Jumbo Oversize that is not offered by PM (hint hint) so that was $63 at Dicks on Saturday and they fit them Free of charge to boot. I have now hit so many glorious golf balls that I think I tore a muscle in my right side........It's that much of a kick!! Go forth and purchase 2 sets, sound advice, solid results. :)
Caleb rated this product on 08/09/13 I've wanted a set of hybrid irons for years and did a lot of research and club testing before purchasing the PM Pre Progressive Iron Set: Adams A12OS, Cleveland Hybore, HB3 and 588 Altitudes. I've also looked at many different hybrid iron clones. I finally chose PM, primarily because of the user reviews. I have a slower swing speed so I usually have an R shaft. I took PM recommendation to get a stiffer shaft because of the extra 1.75" length - I purchased the Stiff or Firm flex. I bought the set with the stock PM hybrid graphite shaft +1.5" (3.25" longer than standard) with the Lamkin Crossline Oversize. As the rest of the reviewers have stated - PM's customer service is excellent! Great correspondence as soon as you submit your order, when the clubs go into production, when the clubs ship and a follow-up e-mail to make sure you received your clubs as ordered. I also ordered the PM Pre 52, 56 and 60 wedges. When I received my club set and wedges, I was impressed with how carefully the clubs were packaged and with the assembly of my clubs. I've now had the Pre set for over a month and have played several rounds with them. As one reviewer stated, I wish they had the beautiful aesthetic and thin topline of a classic forged blade, but the blades do not have the same forgiveness. I gained approximately one club length in distance over my old set - Nike Slingshot HLs. If you haven't played a hybrid set, mind the headcovers - I've lost one already. All that aside, after a brief adjustment period, I am extremely happy with PM and my Pre set.
Bob rated this product on 07/31/13 played two rounds with the Pre-Hybrid's and It will take a few more rounds to get used to them. The clubs are a bit longer than my old clubs, but the ball fly's nice and high and straight.I have to adjust my stance so that the ball will fly straight.I feel that these clubs will help improve my game.Taking them to Orlando on vacation and plan on playing some good courses there.Happy with my purchase...
CarterH rated this product on 07/22/13 Without a doubt the sweetest club I've used. These clubs have put me on the range and the course more often because of the results they have produced. I get the ball up and on line very well. I have re-gripped them because I prefer a tacky grip. You have to keep a close eye on the head covers because I've lost one already. These are great clubs.
Alan rated this product on 07/17/13 I purchased a Pre Hybrid set several years ago to hit off the practice range mats in the winter when the grass range was not available. I used them a few times but mostly they sat in my garage while I played a much more costly set of clubs. A few months ago, after struggling with several other sets of clubs, I took the Pre Hybrids to the range. I hit them well, so I carefully compared my shots, club-by-club, with other sets I own. All I can say is that it is incredible how much more consistently I hit long, straight shots with the Pre Hybrids. I assume it is because the hybrids are better suited to my swing (more sweeping, less attacking). Frankly, I wish the clubs looked more like a classic blade. But the results are more important than the aesthetics, so I have beemn playing the Pre Hybrids since - now my more costly clubs sit in my garage.
