David rated this product on 01/03/10 Let me start by saying you will not confuse the excel with a Callaway club - completely different look at setup and they do not have a satisfying "tink" - it is more of a "thwak". i decided to give these clubs a try when I shattered the shaft on my Callaway Heavenwood 3. i was looking at USD100+ to replace the shaft, or USD150plus to buy a new club, then get it reshafted and regripped (I need +1 and midsize). I ended up buying 4 Excel hybrids (2, 3, 4, 5) with UST proforce V2 shafts (incredible) and midsize grips for USD340... a very good value... with the excels in the bag, I shot the best round of my life! That "thwak" is now sweet music to my ears!

Lou rated this product on 11/25/09 The 31 and 35 deg hybrids are now a permanent fixture in my golf bag and have put ordnance on target every time (I'm a retired Navy Firecontrolman so I equate everything with gunnery). I like them so much that I put my Ping G10s on Craig's list (made a sale yesterday).

Lou rated this product on 11/05/09 The 31 degree club arrived last night and I took it out for a couple test drives. Pretty easy to hit. Once I got used to it, I was hitting 175 yards prettty regularly (which is the same distance as my Ping G10 28 degree hybrid). The Apollo Lite steel shaft and the Winn Excel Classic grip are a great combination if you prefer steel vs graphite; remember to order the club 1/2" shorter than the standard length for graphite.

John Basch rated this product on 11/03/09 I have used my Excel Strong Hybrid Irons for a little over three weeks and each time I practice or play I find them extremely easy to hit accurately. I am hitting my iron shots much more consistently and they have also improved my distance. I would recommend these irons to anyone trying to improve their game. Thanks Pinemeadow.

Lou rated this product on 10/19/09 This is a follow-up to the review I wrote for the 35 degree hybrid. The combination of Apollo Lite Steel shaft (38" length) and Winn Excel RF Standard (5715) is the winner. I finally took it out on the golf course Friday after a familiarization (was consisently hitting a little past the 150 sign at the range STRAIGHT). Hit it 4 feet from the pin from 155 yards.
