I expected the clones to be equivalent in both look and feel, otherwise they should be marketed under another category as the manufacturer's proprietary model. They seem adequate.

Jimmy rated this product on 01/22/09 WOW. First of all let me say how nervous I was spending this kind of cash on clubs I've never touched let alone hit a ball with. I went back and forth with a set of Tommy A's and a generic set of Clevelands. I just got back from the indoor range and man am I excited about playing these things this summer. Huge sweet spots make off center strikes less disastrous. I have an wicked slice that occasionally rears its ugly head, clubs seemed to lessen those as well. Like I said I'm excited for the summer. My wife and youngest are interested in learning the game, these clubs will definitely make me feel confident about where to turn for affordable clubs.

Steve rated this product on 01/12/09 Driving Range! The weather turned good enough to go to the range and try the new clubs. OUTSTANDING! I got a bucket o balls, and hit about 6 with every other size. (I can only hit for so long before I start to fade physically...) The 3 wood goes further than my old driver ever did - and straight as an arrow! (I have had a slice, so that's saying something.) Then, straight to the 3 Hybrid. POW! That also beat my average with my driver. (I mean, damn! From right off the mat - to THAT distance? Whoa.) To the 5 iron then... and POW! 7 iron - POW! And so it went. Absolutely lovely, all of them. Yes, I even tried a few "finesse" shots with the shorter irons. More distance than expected - but also more on-line than usual. (I'll take that happily!) I will confess, I spent another day at the range getting aquainted with the new driver. We didn't hit it off right away. But the 2nd day at the range I bagged their plastic "tees" and used my own, at the height I like. (Their's were low.) Not all of the hits were incredible, (you know how drivers can be), but when I got it right? OMG! I got 250 in the AIR, which I have never done before. (54 yr old casual golfer here...) WAY impressed!

Steve rated this product on 01/07/09 Just Arrived! I ordered the ZR1 full set, with graphite shafts throughout, the putter, and the 2B2 bag. All came thru shipping without a scratch. Overall: Well done! The clubs are beauties, that's for sure. Have to wait for sunlight and some time to actually hit them, but fit and finish are top-shelf. The Putter feels SO much better in my hand than my old one - can't wait to try it! The bag has some cool features, including the cell phone pocket, key pocket, auto-extend of the legs when the bag is leaned over... All in all - quite pleased. Again - well done. Can't wait to hit them - follow-up post coming after that event.
