Ron reviewed this product on 04/01/05 Received my new excel mid-launch irons yesterday, too late to play a round, so I went last night to a local 24 hour driving range. A friend who has Callaways, told me it would take some time for me to adjust to these clubs. Not the case, they felt great right from the start. As a relatively new golfer, I was impressed by the ease at which I got most balls to get up in the air, no sculls or topping of shots. Today I played 18 holes and it was the best I ever played my irons. I'm not a long hitter, but I was definitely getting more distance from every iron, and will have to recalculate the clubs I use from now on.

My friends play Calaway x-14's and I would say the Excel's are better than those, except they don't have the Calaway name on them for everyone to talk about. I was looking for performance, not the name; now I am hitting the long irons better and my slice has improved dramatically. Thanks Pinemeadow for saving me a ton of money.

Danno reviewed this product on 03/29/05 This clubs remains a favorite. I have them all, 3-9 woods and I just put the ones in my bag that the particular course needs for that day. Very solid on contact, great sound. I often will just hit my 3W instead of the driver as I still will get 220+ and straight. (I have the 12 degree Ti driver and it's great too). Wonderful "click" sound and I can just count on these clubs to deliver. The 9 wood is really one to consider, put away the 4 or 5 iron, take a smooth sweeping swing and the ball flies high and long. I suspect that if you wanted to special order the 11-15 woods in the old Acer branding, PMG could arrange that for you, just call them.
Jon Gough reviewed this product on 03/28/05 I wanted to send a testimonial regarding Pinemeadow's service to re-assure everyone who may be skeptical about buying clubs online. As a Marketing Consultant who teaches companies the importance of being customer-focused, Pinemeadow should put on a clinic. I ordered my clubs on the afternoon of March 23rd. They shipped on the afternoon of March 25th (Good Friday) and I received in Canada on Monday March 28th (Easter Monday). This was unbelievable considering Canadian Customs and the holiday weekend. A friend of mine ordered a driver from another company in Florida close to a month ago and he has still not received. Although I haven't had a chance to try the clubs, I can assure everyone that you should have no reservations about doing business with these guys.
