Anti-Slice = The New Offset
What makes the Yukon unique, compared to other drivers we carry is the amount of offset in the club head. You’ve probably heard the term “offset” being talked about for years but we want to educate you on what it means. We’re not saying this club is for everyone but most golfers will benefit from an increased offset face.
The amount of offset in a driver is measured by millimeters (mm). The way we designed and measured the offset in the Yukon club head was to move the front of the hosel 5 mm back from the leading edge of the face. As you can see in the images the club has an offset face. It doesn’t seem like a lot but it does make a big difference. Your current driver has an offset measurement of 0. However, the Yukon has 5 mm of offset.
How Will it Help My Game?
A club with increased offset will allow you to square the clubface at impact, which will result in a reduced amount of spin on the ball that causes you to slice. Your hands will be ahead of the ball - like they should be - at impact. That split second that the club head arrives at impact doesn’t seem like a lot, but it makes a world of difference. The end result will be the square clubface that you have been seeking for years.
You’re probably asking yourself why you would want to contact the ball later in your swing. The point of impact, in relation to the timing of your swing, has a big impact on where your ball will go from there. Whether it is straight, to the right or to the left. If you have a tendency to slice, hitting the ball later in your swing means you have more time to square up as you follow through with your swing, causing the ball to travel straighter. Whether you are swinging an iron, a driver, or a fairway wood, your game will benefit from clubs that account for the natural tendencies of your golf swing.
Here at Pinemeadow Golf, we cater to all skill levels, providing an assortment of clubs to fit your needs. The Yukon series is the anti-slice solution for you. Wouldn’t it be nice to have a solution that would let the club do the work instead of having you figure out a way to stop the slice?
Now that we’ve covered the advantages of the Yukon and its offset clubface, let’s get to the point. The laws of physics are not going to change. Take for example, Newton’s 3rd Law: For every action (your swing), there is an equal and opposite reaction (beautiful slice). Look yourself in the mirror, your game needs a club that works with your swing and there is hope. The Yukon will change the action to make the ball go straight. Stop playing the wrong fairway and update your game. Just give in to the Yukon and let it show up your buddies without fixing a thing about your swing.
