Gary C. rated this product on 04/20/08 I replaced a 30 year old set of clubs with the BK hybrid irons set and this club and the matching Excel driver. All in all, I'm really pleased with this club. When I hit it right, the ball goes long and straight. Good looking too and a great price.

mike rated this product on 01/06/08 I purchased this club with the intention of replacing my old 3 wood. The site said that it was comparable in performance to the callaway x hot so I gave it a try. It's been extremely difficult getting consistent shots with this club, especially off the turf.

phillips rated this product on 11/16/07 I just got my three wood in the mail as a birthday present. Not fifteen minutes after that I was in the car and off to the range. When I first set up to hit the ball I noticed how light and well balanced it is, not to mention the way it perfectly sits on the ground exactly aligned to my target. After my first hit I couldn't help but smile. It felt like I didn't hit anything and if I didn't see how far, high, and straight it went I would have thought that I missed the ball. The shots take almost no effort and the ball flight is perfect. It isn't super high and it's definately not low. It's high enough to get maximum distance without getting pushed around in the wind. Also it is very forgiving. Do not be persuaded by the brand of the club or who plays it. These clubs are so well made and excellently designed that you would'nt believe that it isn't being played by all of the greats on tour. Note: the Aldila Gamer shaft is amazing along with the Lamkin Permawrap

j.ziggen rated this product on 10/30/07 I bought this club "used" in "excellent" condition, which had to be a misprint! Club arrived with the head still sealed in plastic, and with the upgraded grafalloy prolaunch shaft! So first of all, I think I got the best deal on a club EVER, and anyone who's considering the pre-owned clubs, try it!!!! This is my second used club that has turned out to be a fantastic deal! Second, the club itself is awesome. Sweetspot is either very large or the shallow face really suits my swing (and everyone else who's tried my club) because I really have to screw up my swing to hit a bad shot with it. I'm carrying between 200-230 with this club off a tee (I have pretty average swing speed, not a bomber), and it's a long straight flight with just a hint of a fade. I'm not bragging there, I'm flippin' shocked at how easy it is to repeat with this club compared to my old Callaway. The extra length made it awkward for me to use this club out of the fairway at first, so I had it fitted to a "standard" length and I'm loving the results... That's the only adjustment or challenge I've had with the design. I haven't seen this club make a bad golfer great yet, but if you're looking for a great 3 wood with a lot of pop, I don't think you can go wrong with this club.

Duane rated this product on 10/23/07 By far the best 3 wood I have ever used. It sounds like a Ti 3 wood, and hits are very penetrating. Makes a great driver, and still hits from the fairway, about 210yd at 85mph swing speed.
Preston Hale responds with Thanks the Excel Strong 3 wood is a good alternative for someone who has trouble with a larger driver. You probably noticed that there is not a Strong 5 wood. The Excel Strong 2 hybrid will cover that distance and is typically a easier club to play.
