Greg rated this product on 08/12/11 I first played with professional open wedges when i began golfing 13 years ago. I purchased a 56 from a local shop as my first wedge. As i progressed in the game and went from100's to 90's i bought a full set, 60, 56, 52 with 12, 16, and 10 degrees of bounce respectively. I played with them for years. My game progressed and as it prgressed I listened to the hype and went and replaced my wedges with and idengtical set of Clevelands. I played with them for 2 years and what a mistake. My swing has evolved and my GHIN handicap index is 3.2. I wanted to change the lofts of my wedges for better gapping but thought I would get my old Professional Open wedges bent first to make sure it was the right thing to do. Before that i decided to play them side by side to get a comparison of yardage and playability to know what the baseline of each club was. I was amazed. It had been awhile and my swing and overall game has improved drastically ( from 12.4 to 3.2) but side by side the Professional Open clubs out distance, out check and have a better feel than my Clevelands. These wedges are the real deal.
Jeff rated this product on 12/14/08 I just tried out the 4 wedge set I purchased online. There were represented as having the playabilty of the Cleveland line. I would say that is an accurate assessment. I think the quality of the club head material is somewhat inferior, as it appears softer in terms of ball marks and loss of surface finish sheen. I suspect they will not have the long term durablilty of the Cleveland, but for the price I am very satisfied with these great performing wedges. The distance and accuracy; loft for loft is the same as the Clevelands, which is often not the case in other second tier wedges. I play 3-4 rounds per week and practice 3-4 times as well. 9 handicap.
Steve Egge said the following about this product on 04/02/07 I'm a 60 year old single digit (3-6)handicapper. About 8 months ago I purchased the 52 and 56 degree wedges and absolutely love them. They look and feel great and perform even better. I now carry 4 wedges but find myself laying up to the 85-105 yd range so that I can hit either of these two clubs. Around the greens they are equally effective and when faced with a sand shot the 56 degree wedge is terrific. What a value for two exceptional clubs.
Shawn said the following about this product on 08/09/06 I just started golfing this year, and this club had been a blessing for me. My short game has improved big time, and I am not afraid of bunkers or chip shots anymore. I am glad that I bought this club. I have even had friends try this club and love how it feels and how light it is. I highly recommened this club to friends and family.
Daniel Robert said the following about this product on 07/30/06 Got a 52, 56 and 60 wedges and ordered Aldila graphite shafts. They do play great, their bounce angles are well chosen and fellow golfers marvelled at their look and feel. They simply could not believe your low prices. The only reserve I have is the peculiar rattle they will make when dropped (ever so softly) to the ground. I got them checked at my local and they found the assembly to be secure. Still, that buzzing sound is quite troubling.
