Aldo reviewed this product on 11/17/06 I decided on this set because of the awesome sale price. I have been playing golf on and off for 10yrs and have had a few different sets of clubs. I a shorter player at 5'4" and have always bought and played with standard length clubs and just adapted. This is my first custom fitted set with -1 inch stiff steel shafts. It took about a half bucket of ball to get used to the shorter clubs but once I got used to them I was hitting straight and solid. I noticed my distance has come down a few yards but I attribute that to the shorter shafts. But I have better control and my accuracy was dead on. And I don't mind that trade off. These irons look great and feel great. These irons along with my command Q4 driver and fairway wood now complete my bag. An awesome full set for less than what a brand name Ti driver would cost. Tom reviewed this product on 11/01/06 I placed an order for a complete set of these clubs on a monday and received shipment the following tuesday week. I have taken these irons to the driving range and have played three rounds at my home course. The heads are larger than the 845's I am acustomed to using and this will take a few more rounds to become comfortable on set up. The quality of the club heads are great, the appearance of the irons are almost identical to the Callaway X-16's, the stiff shaft and Lamkin grips are excellant. The clubs are quite a bit heavier than my old 845's. I do not see measurable incease in distance or accuracy, this may come whenever I feel more comfortable with the increased weight. I would recommend the Excel Mid-Launch Irons to any one looking for a inexpensive set of quailty irons.
Chad reviewed this product on 10/30/06 I hit these clubs this weekend and they are great. I'll have to admit, its going to take me some time to hit my long irons consistantly but the mid-irons and wedges are spot on!!! Great feel, Great Investment!! Thanks Pinemeadow, I'll be back soon to purchase a Driver!
Chad reviewed this product on 10/26/06 After two years of looking at this website, I finally purchased the Excel Mid-Launch Irons. I went all out and got every club they had: 3-pw, sw, lw, aw, 2iron. I can't wait to hit the 2 iron! They feel great!!!! I can't wait to hit them this weekend. I'll keep you guys posted.
