Steve rated this product on 06/19/08 These clubs hit great. They feel really nice when you hit the ball and each club hits a full club longer than my old beginner clubs. I ordered the sandwedge and I find it is great to chip around the greens with. The clubs also look very sharp and are delivered quickly. I upgraded to the lambkin oversized grips which feel great. Thanks for building quality products Pine Meadow!

Jim rated this product on 06/13/08 First, these are excellent clubs. Very forgiving and feel great off the tee, in the fairway and out of the rough. However, these area not even close to being similar to the Callaway X-20's as the description indicates. Actually, the sole width of the Excel Strong's are much wider than the X-20's and are more similar to the Callaway Big Bertha 06 Irons than the X-20's. Pinemeadow has another set of Excel irons called the "High Launch Plus" that are supposed to match the Big Bertha '06's, but Excel Strongs are closer clones in my opinion. As a matter of fact, a buddy of mine has the Bertha '06 iron set, and we trade clubs from time to time to see how they differ. The clubs hit almost exactly the same for both of us, and the sole width, face and loft of every club from Sand to 3-Iron look exactly the same. The only difference we've noticed is that the Excel Strong irons are about 1/2 inch longer in length than the Berth '06's, but that may be because I had them fitted with the Lamkin grips. I've tried the X-20's and they are much harder to hit than the Bertha's or the Excel Strongs, at least for me. In any case, the Excel Strongs are an excellent iron set and are a very forgiving set of clubs. These are probably the best set of game-improvement irons you can buy for the money. When you hit them well, they are buttery and straight with a nice feel. Even mishits stay remarkably straight (unless you're shanking it, and no club is going to fix that). The Excel Strongs are my second set of irons from Pinemeadow, and I highly recommend them. Don't waste money on a name brand when you can get the same thing for 1/4th to 1/3 the cost. Thanks again Pinemeadow for the great clubs.

Jeff B. rated this product on 05/28/08 Before these irons i was using my dads old clubs, and he just got new ones, so i decided i would as well. and i absolutely love these clubs, they feel great, i haven't had hits where the club vibrates my hands to the point where it hurts, and overall they are a club that i'm very happy with. I would suggest these to anyone, especially beginners who don't want to spend a lot, but want an awesome club!

Allison H. rated this product on 05/20/08 I bought a set of these irons to celebrate getting a new job. I had tested the Callaways at a local golf superstore and really liked the feel of them, but they were out of my price range. I was playing a set of beater steel-shaft irons (though not hitting well). Switching to graphite shafts and getting an extra inch in club length has really helped work out the slice I had. These clubs were gorgeous out of the box, well-packed, and are really comfortable to swing. I'm back today to look at a new putter and some fairway woods. Thanks, Pinemeadow, for manufacturing high-quality equipment comparable to the "big brands" at a reasonable cost.

Chris R rated this product on 05/19/08 I absolutely love these irons. I have played 4 rounds with them and I have never hit the ball more solid. Several of my buddies have made purchases through Pinemeadow and I thought why not. I could never be happier. These clubs are solid on miss hits and when you hit the sweet spot you get all the distance possible from the ball. I have added 10+ yards to each club because they produce so much distance. Thank you Pinemeadow.
